Quick Order Creation
Although Orders may be created within TVA through a variety of mechanisms, the Quick Order creation process allows users to rapidly submit a need for material with minimal overhead and complexity.
The quick order creation process is designed to allow an end-user to provide the key information relevant to an order, and to allow the standard order management process to take over after this creation.
The start of the quick order creation process is shown below.
In this example, a user is making an order to the local warehouse facility, and is asking for material to be shipped to the specified destination. In this example, the user has not entered a specific date for when the material is required.
The user may have also selected two other order types, which is that the material will be picked up directly from the site, or that the material should be retrieved from inventory and placed into an asset for cargo management. The latter example could include, for example, a shipping container being packed with material prior to movement.
A user will be able to select specific items in the order, as shown below.
The user is able to search for items and to note the desired quantity, and multiple items may be added to the order in this process.
Once complete the user will submit the order and the warehouse order management process will review, approve, and process the order as required.
