Shipment Details
Once a Shipment has been created, a detailed summary may be viewed, with additional options to adjust or update the Shipment. The specific permissions of a user will impact the options presented to a user, and a user may not be permitted to perform some actions.
The Shipment details screen shows the range of fields entered by a user at creation time, as well as other updated automatically created and processed by the TVA system. An example Shipment can be seen below.
In this Shipment, there are several fields of interest to be highlighted. The Shipment does have a source and destination entered, which allows the map to show these positions on the summary, as well as the last known position as reported by a tracking device.
The Shipment has an alert active due to an impact monitoring rule that was assigned to the Shipment. The tracking device was configured to report not only position, but any high-force impact events, and the rules associated to the Shipment monitored for this action. The alert event was automatically captured and logged with the Shipment, and the alert has been opened for review.
The Shipment exists within a containing asset, which is a truck carrying the Shipment in the cargo, and has an NFC tag assigned to the Shipment for rapid lookup and identification.
The Shipment has been evaluated as to the required date for delivery, and has also been flagged as violating the delivery date.
Finally, the Shipment details highlight timestamps of various actions that have occurred during the creation, processing, and transportation of the Shipment. This provides a granular view of the Shipment processing flow, and is a useful mechanism to understanding an organization's performance.
At the bottom left of the Shipment details, any available update options are provided for the user, based on the access provided to the user and the status of the Shipment. In this case, the Shipment is ARRIVED and may be DELIVERED, the position may be adjusted, and the Shipment manifest may be printed.
